How your answers
are saved.

Your worksheet answers stay in your browser. You can use the worksheet without an account.

What stays on your device

The Role Evidence Map saves your 17 answers in this browser, including any posting link and date you enter. It also remembers whether the worksheet is blank, contains the fictional example or has been edited. Your answers are never sent to a server, an AI service or analytics.

Saved answers belong to the browser and website address you used. Another device, browser or preview address will have a separate worksheet. The addresses techjobsforgrads.com and www.techjobsforgrads.com also save separate copies. Private browsing or browser settings may prevent saving or erase your answers. If saving fails, the page warns you; download a TXT copy before leaving.

Someone with access to your browser profile may be able to read your saved answers. Keep confidential information off shared devices. We do not keep a backup of your worksheet.

Resetting, downloading and printing

Reset asks for confirmation, clears all fields and removes the worksheet saved at this website address. Your analytics preference stays the same. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes both answers and preferences. If reset cannot remove saved answers, the worksheet warns you.

The blank and fictional-example TXT files contain no personal answers. Download current answers creates a file on your device with all 17 fields in order and “[Not filled in]” for empty fields. Printing includes your full answers, even when they extend beyond the editing boxes. Your printer software and any print service you choose handle the copy you send them.

Reset does not delete downloaded files or printed copies; you need to remove those separately. If you already have answers, Load example asks before replacing them.

What we count with analytics

Our publication sends requests directly to Umami Cloud at gateway.umami.is/api/send on the seven pages at techjobsforgrads.com and www.techjobsforgrads.com. We send none of these requests from Preview or platform-hosted addresses. Our analytics does not use advertising pixels, session recordings or form tracking. Replit, our hosting provider, also injects its own analytics script. That separate hosting-provider telemetry is not managed by our Umami sender or the controls below.

We count page visits separately from worksheet actions: requesting a blank, example or current TXT download; loading the example; requesting print; and confirming reset. These counts record the request, so they cannot tell us whether a file was saved or a print job finished. They contain no worksheet answers, posting URLs, typed text, URL fragments or address of the page you came from.

Analytics receives the page’s known path and title, the site’s hostname and a label distinguishing test visits from ordinary visits. Campaign labels in utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign are accepted only from a fixed list of approved values. Other query text, search terms and pasted URLs are discarded. Our requests omit credentials and the referring page address. Umami and the hosting provider receive connection information, such as an IP address, to handle requests. This is separate from saving your answers in your browser.

Your analytics controls

Use the links below to turn analytics off or back on for this browser and website address. They add ?analytics=off or ?analytics=on to the address. Your choice is saved in the browser, and the visit used to change it is not tracked.

We honor Do Not Track. Analytics also stays off if browser storage cannot be read or written. Clearing this site’s data removes your saved preference, so turn analytics off again if needed. Set your preference separately for techjobsforgrads.com and www.techjobsforgrads.com if you use both.

Test visits can use ?qa=1 to send a qa label instead of production. This never turns tracking on when you have opted out or enabled Do Not Track. The same storage, website-address and page restrictions still apply, and no worksheet data is added.
